‘Amazing Race’ Runners-Up Slow Down, Stress Out

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Getting back into the swing of things took a toll on two teams of reality-show racers.

This past Sunday (Jan. 20), the 12th season of the globe- trotting reality show The Amazing Race, ended with California hippies TK Erwin and Rachel Rosales winning the $1 million prize.

But without pockets padded with cash, the second and third place teams had some harder adjustments to make.

Nicolas Fulks – a Puerto Rico-based pilot who, with his grandfather, Donald Jerousek, came in third – says, “For four or five nights, I woke up in the middle of the night and ran into my backyard in my underwear looking for a clue or thinking I missed a flight!”

But slowing down wasn’t quite so stressful for Ronald Hsu, who came in second with his daughter Christina.

Hsu says, “We had decompression problems – I slept for a good day or more. But now we’re back to our normal reality.”

And Christina adds, “Anyone who gets off a magic carpet ride like this is pretty dazed. I’m going to ease myself back into society.”
