‘My Name Is Earl Actress’ Relives Her College Co-Ed Days

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Filming her latest TV project made actress Nadine Velazquez feel like a college student again.

Velazquez – best known for her role as Catalina on the hit NBC comedy series My Name Is Earl – stars in the Oxygen network’s new romantic comedy TV movie, Husband For Hire, and says working with an all-star cast including Mario Lopez, Tempest Bledsoe, and Mark Consuelos took her back to her college co-ed days.

Velazquez says she had tons of fun with Lopez, Bledsoe, and Consuelos both on and off the set, and their little circle felt like her old “college gang.”

She explains, “We all got along really well and would hang out after work like old friends. We all joked that it felt like we were in college again, since we were going out together every night! It was super fun.”

And while All My Children alum Mark Consuelos joined in on some of the fun, Velazquez says he spent a lot of time “traveling home” between filming to be with his wife, TV host Kelly Ripa.

Velazquez adds, “Mark plays a man I have to mold into the perfect husband in the movie, but in real life, I bet he’s already a pretty good husband.”

Husband For Hire premieres Friday (Jan. 19) on Oxygen.
