Cartoon Creator Fights For Justice

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An acclaimed cartoon creator is drawing on her inner strength to fight the big bad FOX.

In 1999, Ivy Supersonic, a New York-based designer, event planner, promoter, and publicist, designed the cartoon character “Sqrat” – a cute combination of a squirrel and rat that was then stolen by FOX for the movie Ice Age.

After the movie came out, Supersonic sued FOX for stealing her Sqrat, but the case was thrown out, and now FOX has turned the tables by suing her for $1.6 million.

Supersonic says, “It’s a David and Goliath thing – how could one girl fight a multi-billion dollar conglomerate? It’s unreasonable, it’s bankrupted me. I own the rights to Sqrat. I’ve spent every dollar I have fighting this.”

And while her animated animal is putting her in the doghouse, Supersonic isn’t going down without a frisky fight.

She says, “I’m a woman on a mission. It’s a harsh world – if you don’t go for it, you might as well dig a hole and jump in.”

Supersonic, however, continues to throw her hat in the ring as a designer of couture hats for celebrities like Pam Anderson, Snoop Dogg, and Steven Tyler.
