Adrian Grenier Ponders On-Screen Coincidence

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s a weird coincidence “chasing” actor Adrian Grenier’s career.

According to New York-based gossip reporter Baird Jones, the sexy Entourage star recently noticed that his two breakthrough acting roles both include the name “Chase” in his characters’ monikers.

Grenier – who chatted with Jones at a “charity: water” event this past Tuesday (Dec. 18) – played a character named Chase in the 1999 teen flick Drive Me Crazy, opposite Melissa Joan Hart and Ali Larter, before taking on the role of playboy Vincent Chase in Entourage, and wonders if the name game is purely coincidental.

Grenier says, “With Entourage, at first I thought it might be a reference [to my Drive Me Crazy character], but it was just a complete coincidence. I never brought it up with the [Entourage] writers because I don’t get involved in the show’s writing.”

And Grenier hasn’t continued chasing for an answer to the concurrence.

He adds, “Although the Chase thing is interesting, I don’t look into every coincidence.”
