Musician Gives Rules For The Road

REGINA, Canada (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One breakout musician is warming up to life on the road, and offering some trusted touring tips.

Matt Costa is a singer-songwriter who’s shared the stage with Jack Johnson and Modest Mouse, but his current touring trek through Canada is revealing some cold, hard, and smelly truths about life on the road.

Costa says, “It’s negative 15 degrees celsius right now. But we came prepared. We just watched a 15-hour PBS documentary on World War II – we try to get as much culture as we can. But there’s also some cultures growing on the floor, and on people’s clothing.”

And the cooped-up cruising through the Canadian cold has allowed Costa to devise some trusted road rules.

He says, “Make sure you have plenty of music and DVDs. Drive slowly on icy roads. Drink a lot of coffee. And watch out for moose.”

Costa is coming out of the cold and coasting into San Diego on Monday (Dec. 10).

His new album, Unfamiliar Faces, hits stores in January.
