Regifting: The Gag Gift That Keeps Giving

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you decide to practice regifting this Christmas, get ready for some major laughs under the tree.

Billy Lowe, a celebrity hair stylist-turned-gift-guru, says that the tacky tradition of regifting has become “the same or worse than gag gifting” because everyone in the room knows that the present isn’t new.

Lowe explains, “Usually a hush comes over the room, and everyone’s looking at the face of the person who just got the gift, waiting to see if he’s going to say anything. Honestly, who wants a key chain and blender, all in one?”

If regiving gifts presents a problem for you, Lowe recommends treating the lucky people on your list to spa packages or gift certificates.

But there’s one sweet gift Lowe says to avoid at all costs.

Lowe says “Chocolate covered cherries are the worst regifts! They’re disgusting, and you know that they’re coming from someone who hates chocolate, that’s why they’re a regift.”
