Boys’ Christmas Wish Lists Transform, Girls Stick To Barbie

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Little boys’ Christmas wish lists are transforming this year, but girls are sticking to the classics.

The National Retail Federation has just compiled its list of must-have toys for the 2007 holiday season, and while girls are choosing Barbie as their most wanted toy for the fifth year in a row, boys are changing it up by asking for Transformers toys.

Besides Barbie, other hot items for girls this year include Bratz dolls, Dora the Explorer goodies, Disney princess stuff, Hannah Montana toys, Nintendo Wii gaming systems, Webkinz plushes, Elmo, and American Girl dolls.

After their Optimus Prime picks, boys hope to unwrap video games, Nintendo Wii gaming systems, toy cars, Spider- Man stuff, LEGOs, Thomas the Tank Engine toys, X-box 360s, Elmo, and remote controlled vehicles.

To ensure you’re able to check your little one’s list twice, the NRF advises that you “shop smart and shop early to make sure your kids’ items don’t sell out before you make it to the store.”
