Ari Bonas and Staella Gianakakos were the first team to be stopped in their tracks on Sundays (Nov. 4) season premiere of The Amazing Race, and the friends and roommates admit it was the shows challenge, in which they were forced to move a devilish donkey down a farm path in Ireland, that really kicked their asses.
Gianakakos says, No matter how good a shape youre in, pushing a 300-pound donkey is impossible. It brought a whole new meaning to stubborn as an ass. I used to ride donkeys when I was little, and I was thinking it was payback, like, Did I ever do something to a donkey?
And while the shows stresses actually brought them closer, the adventurous duo arent looking to hoof it back to Ireland quite yet.
Bonas says he wants to globe-trot to Greece with Gianakakos, and adds that, If we ever go back to Ireland, that donkey better avoid us!
The Amazing Race airs Sundays on CBS.
