World’s Worst Fashion Fads

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you thought fanny packs and MC Hammer pants were the world’s most horrendous fashion fads, think again.

Martin Miller’s Gin has just conducted a survey of the world’s most frightful fleeting fashion fads of the past 25 years, and according to 100 fashion editors, jeans – if they’re too skinny, ripped, or low – are the worst trend to hit your closet in decades.

But don’t throw out your denim just yet – fashionistas say jeans can be worn as long as they’re clean and simple.

Other fashion flurries include...

  • 12 percent of fashion gurus say shoulder pads are a nasty fashion trend of the 80s that overstayed their cushy welcome and should moonwalk back into history.

  • 8 percent agree that cropped, belly-baring tops are never a good idea, no matter what shape you’re in.

  • 7 percent say Crocs – the popular, bright-colored gardening clogs – are a real fashion crock and should only be worn by kids under 12.

  • Finally, 6 percent of style experts say leisure suits, in all of their polyester glory, are a fad that only senior citizens and the Sopranos can get away with.
