Vampire Stalker Gets Bloody In His New Book

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A pop culture critic is taking a bite out of life in his new book – literally.

Eric Nuzum is the author of The Dead Travel Fast: Stalking Vampires from Nosferatu to Count Chocula (Thomas Dunne), where he chronicles his foray into the world of vampires.

To research the deadly book, Nuzum got a true taste of vampire life by drinking a vial of his own blood and watching 216 vampire movies, which Nuzum says is “probably 200 more than anyone needs to see.”

And to Nuzum, there’s no such thing as a good vampire movie.

He says, “They’re all bad. But Zoltan, Hound of Dracula was entertainingly bad. It was so retarded.”

With all those movies under his cape, Nuzum has a good idea of the kind of blood-sucker he’d like to be.

He says, “I’d be the Brad Pitt vampire, damn it! Actually, I always thought it’d be cool to be a vampire assassin that kills for money. That’d be my ideal vampire.”

The Dead Travel Fast bites into shelves Thursday (Sept. 20).
