No Fakers Allowed On ‘Beauty and The Geek’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Beauty and the Geek host Mike Richards has one rule when it comes to the makeover show: no fake geeks or beauties allowed!

Richards – who has hosted Beauty and the Geek for the past three seasons – says if you want to get on the show you have to be a genuine geek, not just a wannabe nerd.

Says Richards: “People come to our casting calls with these weird, fake voices and really nerdy looks, trying to be Steve Urkel, which is not what we’re looking for. We want a real guy, and I can spot a fake geek from a mile away!”

And the same thing goes for bogus beauties, who can’t be “too smart” if they want to compete on the reality show.

Richards explains, “The beauties can be smart, but they just can’t know it. We look for girls who have all the potential in the world but aren’t using it, and they end up surprising themselves in the end. It’s all about real transformations with real people.”

The fourth season of Beauty and the Geek premieres tomorrow (Sept. 18) on The CW.
