Home Honcho Nails Down House Rules

FARMINGTON, Utah (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One home honcho is giving first time home owners a real escape from the problems of real estate.

Sid Davis is the author of The First-Time Homeowner’s Survival Guide (AMACOM), and as a successful home renovator and real estate broker, Davis nails down some important tips to keep you from getting screwed.

Davis urges first-time buyers to get a home inspection before moving in, and advises people to brush up on their home’s electrical and plumbing systems before settling down.

Davis says, “Most minor things you can handle yourself. It’s not rocket science, it’s just about having a positive attitude and taking pride in your home.”

But just because your handiwork will save you some dough, Davis says practicality is the house rule.

Davis says, “That’s the big crisis, bare budget and champagne taste.”
