New Superhero Passes Ultimate Test

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Playing a TV superhero requires amazing abilities, and winning the hearts of die-hard fans is just as hard.

Eric Johnson plays the lead role on the new Sci-Fi Channel series, Flash Gordon, which premieres today (Aug. 10), and he says part of the superhero challenge involved proving his familiarity with Flash, and winning the respect of the show’s fanatical followers.

Johnson promoted the show at San Diego’s ComiCon last month admits, “We were all a little worried we’d get stumped, but we did our homework enough to please the fans. It worked out well.”

In fact, the Flash fanatics are part of what’s made Johnson’s job so enjoyable.

He says, “The thing about our fanbase is that they’re very vocal, loyal, and excitable – that’s what you want!”
