Online Actor Sets The Record Straight

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Internet actor Clark Duke hopes his new online show makes it big, but first he wants to set the record straight about him and his best friend – literally.

Clark Duke and his real-life best bud, Arrested Development’s Michael Cera, are the stars of a new CBS original web series called Clark And Michael, which follows two quirky friends as they try to sell their screenplay in Hollywood.

Although the show parallels Duke and Cera’s real-life friendship, Duke insists their personalities on the series are much different than in real life.

Duke explains, “Mike and I play totally bizarre, exaggerated, nightmare versions of ourselves. We are little monsters that like to make fun of Hollywood a■■holes. It would be scary if we were really that obnoxious!”

Still, online fans seem to like their characters, even if they’re not quite sure what to make of the guys’ extremely close friendship.

Says Duke: “Mike and I argue on the show like a married couple, and it makes some fans think we really are a couple, which is hilarious. I think we may have to refute the gay claims with an entire episode someday!”
