Its a cirque-de-solar called Lightning in a Bottle that starts May 11 and features more than 30 acts, including a 35-person marching band, a guy who is a one- mouth band, and, as event coordinator Jesse Flemming puts it, A lot of clowns running around.
Flemming admits he has no idea what the title Lightning In A Bottle means but confesses, We just enjoy the way it sounds.
On the bright side, the concert which some insiders have dubbed Eco-ochella harnesses the sun for power and hosts globally-warming workshops on pottery, glass- blowing and using recycled paints.
But the highlight will probably be the costumes worn by the environmentalists in attendance.
Flemming says, We get people with creative costumes like giant light bulbs, but they wear them all day long even in the heat.
