First ‘Survivor’ Castoff Tries To Avoid Runny Nose

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being the first person kicked off Survivor isn’t easy, and it’s even harder when you have a runny nose.

So says Jessica deBen, who was the first person kicked off Survivor: Fiji this past Thursday (Feb. 8).

She admits she was crushed after the final vote and, as she puts it, “I struggled not let my nose run while speaking on camera.”

Things are a little better now that she’s seen the first episode and admits seeing her fellow tribes members comments have helped piece together what caused her to be voted off the island.

In her words, “If I had to do it all over again, I would pay more attention to the numbers. There were five guys and four girls, and I would have talked to one of them about switching his vote.”

DeBen may no longer be on Survivor, but it’s not the end of her show business career. She’s a professional make-up artist and will be working at the Oscars in a few weeks (Feb. 25).
