Christy Carlson Romano: A Princess And Crimefighter

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Big sisters, princesses and crimefighting cheerleaders are all good influences.

Just ask Disney Channel darling Christy Carlson Romano, who has portrayed these different characters throughout her acting career. For example, when Romano played Shia LaBeouf’s big sister, Ren, on Even Stevens, the character taught her to “achieve goals and do well in school.”

And when she played Belle in Beauty And The Beast on Broadway, the pretty princess was inspirational too because “Belle was kind, giving, and learned to love a beast.”

Romano jokes: “Plus she was like the first literate Disney princess ever, so that automatically makes her a good role model for girls.”

She feels the same about her current character, Kim Possible, a fearless, crimefighting cheerleader who Romano dubs “the perfect girl.”

She adds, “Kim urges girls to be tough, smart, nice and pretty all at once.”

The fourth season of Kim Possible premieres on Saturday (Feb. 10).
