58 Percent Of Americans Say Mom’s A Lousy Matchmaker

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mom may be good at making chicken soup, but she’s bad at making matches.

According to a new survey by, 58 percent of Americans don’t trust their mom’s recommendations for potential partners.

In fact, only 20 percent have actually gone out on a date with someone their mom found for them, only 1 percent of those worked into a last relationship.

No wonder at least 43 percent don’t want Mom to be involved in their love lives – especially because some mothers go to extreme lengths to help their kids find dates.

For instance, 23 percent of moms have invited a prospective date for their kid to a family dinner, and 5 percent say their mom actually followed them to a bar.

However, going out with Mom may actually be a good way to find love because 9 percent have met a potential date while with their mother, either while shopping or at dinner.
