‘Old Christine’ Cast Member Plays Around With Radio

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hamish Linklater is best known as the brother of Julia Louise-Dreyfus on the CBS sitcom, The New Adventures Of Old Christine.

But his latest project has him playing around with radio.

Linklater is reviving his role in the Broadway play, The Busy World Is Hushed, for a radio version that will be taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles between February 7-11.

Linklater portrays a ghost writer assigned to help a female Episcopal priest write a translation of a newly-discovered gospel.

Although Linklater will have the advantage of having a script in front of him, he says that possesses certain challenges.

He admits, “I’ll have to turn the pages quietly so they’re not picked up by the microphone. Also, I will do it in character. I’m pretty sure my character licks his finger before turning the pages.”

The live performances of the radio play will be broadcast on public and satellite radio at a later date.
