‘Schwag Hag,’ ‘Presentment’ Top Awards Show Slang Terms

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Oscars nominations are in, so it’s a good time to brush up on your awards show slang.

According to, if your favorite actress shows up to this weekend’s SAG Awards wearing an ugly dress, showbiz insiders will refer to her “dudsigner gown.”

Or, if a press hungry actress wants to attract paparazzi, she will engage in “flash photography” and expose her privates in public.

Other showbiz terms that pop up during awards season include “the lead carpet,” which is the snails pace in which celebrities move towards the ceremony.

  • The “Least Supported Actress” is the woman with the most “boobage” hanging out.

  • “Presentment” is the anger experienced by celebrities who are always asked to present awards but never get nominated themselves.

  • Finally, the celebrity who tries to get the most free stuff at the ceremonies is derisively called a “schwag hag.”
