2006: A Good Year For Same-Sex Infidelity?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – 2006 may be remembered as the year when same-sex infidelity came out of the closet.

That’s the word from New York-based infidelity expert Ruth Houston, who annually compiles a list of the top infidelity news stories.

This year, five of the 10 stories on her “cheat sheet” concern guys who cheated on their female partners with other guys, including the movie Brokeback Mountain, which helped raise awareness that same-sex infidelity goes on all the time.

However, it took the resignations of New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey and anti-gay moral crusader Reverend Ted Haggard to make people aware that many guys are cheating on their ladies with other guys.

Houston says the rise of awareness that same-sex infidelity is more common than people think is actually a good thing – especially because the practice is a contributing factor to HIV/AIDS.

Plus, it will give women who suspect their man is cheating a fuller range of his potential partners.
