‘Survivor’ Castoff Doesn’t Think He Sounds Like Alan Alda

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Survivor castoff Jonathan Penner has been hearing two things since the season began in September: He’s a villain, and he sounds like Alan Alda.

Penner admits he understands the first one. As he puts it, “I see myself as a hero, but I knew I’d be pegged as a villain when I stole the chicken in the first episode.”

Still, Penner is more surprised by comments he sounds like the former M.A.S.H. star and says, “People keep telling me that, but I don’t hear it.”

Penner says the most eye-opening experience of the show was learning how everyone truly sees the world differently. In his words, “I felt like I was playing the game but these people would call me a rat just because I made a move before they did.”

Now that Penner is off the island, he will concentrate on his day job as a writer and producer and says he’s working on some TV pilots that have been picked up by two cable networks.
