‘Girlfriends’ Star Discovers Fans Are Truly Multi- Cultural

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The CW sitcom Girlfriends has long been one of the top rated shows among urban audiences but cast member Keesha Sharp is happy to discover the fan base is much more multi-cultural.

Sharp, who has just become a fulltime cast member after spending four seasons as a semi-regular, says she’s surprised at who considers themselves a fan.

For instance, she recently contacted award-winning Italian- American novelist Thomas Monteleone in hopes of getting him to collaborate on a screenplay, and was shocked when he responded to her inquiry because his wife is a big fan of Girlfriends.

As a result, the two have written a screenplay of his book, Light Of The Lamb, and are shopping it to various studios.

Girlfriends, which is in its seventh season, airs Monday nights.
