Lynn Redgrave Doesn’t Mind Acting Alone

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Many actors rely on their co- stars to help them find their character, but Lynn Redgrave says she has no problem working alone.

It’s a good thing too because that’s what she had to do while recording the voice of Nanny for the new animated children’s series Eloise, which airs Sundays on the Starz Kids & Family cable channel.

Still, she enjoys it because she gets to “use my body and find my character without anyone really seeing me.”

Says Redgrave: “You would think it would be difficult, but I actually quite enjoy it.”

She says she’s done “masses and masses” of books on tape so doing the voice of Nanny was a walk in the park.

Although she plays a servant, Redgrave says she didn’t feel the need to dress up as a maid to get into character at the studio.

As she puts it, “I’m a well-trained actor so I don’t need that.”

However, she says 10 year-old actress Mary Matilyn Mouser dressed up as Eloise for her scenes and “was just adorable.”
