Beatles Drummer Traveled With Interesting Snacks

DARIEN, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Beatles may have gotten everything they could ever want and more during BeatleMania, but Ringo Starr still brought his own snacks on the road.

That’s the word from Beatles expert, Bob Spitz, who has been researching the iconic rockers for more than years.

According to Spitz, one of the random things he discovered while researching the Beatles was that the boys, especially Ringo Starr, couldn’t live without their traditional Liverpool snack of “baked beans on toast.”

Says Spitz: “Ringo would lug around an entire suitcase of baked beans whenever they went on tour. Everyone would tease him that his suitcase of beans was heavier than his drums!”

Spitz adds that the Fab Four were raised on the hometown Liverpool snack and that taking the beans with them on the road may have prevented them from getting too homesick.
