Doodlebops Kick Off National Tour

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The biggest tour of the year may be from a band you never heard of.

If you don’t have kids, that is.

They’re called the Doodlebops and the purple-hued trio hosts one of the most popular shows on the Disney Channel.

Now, the Toronto-based band is taking its act on the road starting Saturday (Sept. 30) in New York City, and will play to big crowds of preschoolers in 80 different cities.

Keyboardist Deedee Doodle is excited about the show and promises the audience isn’t just kids.

In her words, “We get lots of mom and dads, plus pre- teens who practice our dances for cheerleading.”

Doodle also suspects a lot of celebrities will be showing up to see the show because the fans fans include Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Bob Thornton and the cast of The Sopranos.

She adds: “John Mayer says he came home one morning after a night on the town, saw our show and said it made him want to be a dad.”
