Actor Wings It As Flying Politician

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to playing a flying politician, sometimes you just have to wing it.

That’s what actor Adrian Pasdar has discovered while filming the upcoming NBC series, Heroes, which concerns a group of people who each discover their own unique super powers.

Pasdar plays an aspiring politician who has the ability to fly and he admits fear was a factor while filming those airborne sequences.

In his words, “We did them with the people who set up the aerial stunts for Fear Factor. It was just me, [cast member] Milo Ventimiglia, and we’re up five stories and I’m on one cable and he’s on the other.”

Although Pasdar found the flight sequences exhilarating, it wasn’t what attracted him to the series, it was the politics.

Pasdar – who is married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines – says he sees his character as “Kennedy-esque.”

As he puts it, “He’s been groomed to be a leader since he was young and feels he’s entitled to it and deserves it. It’s going to be fascinating to see how he reconciles his passion for politics with his ability to fly.”

Heroes debuts September 25 on NBC.
