Commuters Have Opportunity To Blow Up Traffic-Causing Bridge

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Commuters driving over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge from Alexandria, Virginia to Washington, D.C. have long suffered in massive gridlock.

But now one lucky commuter will have a chance to get even – by blowing up the bridge.

That’s because the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is looking for the commuter with the most frustrating story about it – and the winning whiner gets to blow up a section of the bridge at midnight on August 24.

Entries are being accepted at www.wilsonbridge.com and, so far, more than 200 people have already applied for the explosive honor.

Spokesperson Michelle Holland understands their pain. As she puts it, “Rush hour typically lasts four hours in the morning and four in the evening on any given weekday, so you are looking at a lot of frustrated drivers.”

A new bridge is already being erected and will have six lanes going both directions instead of three lanes.
