‘World Trade Center’ Cast Member Searching For Woman She Portrayed

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of people lost their loved ones in the September 11 World Trade Center attacks and one actress owes her role in the new movie about the tragedy to one of them.

Viola Davis plays a mother who spills her pain about losing her son in the attack to Maria Bello.

The role wasn’t originally written in the script but director Oliver Stone added it in at the behest of Donna McLoughlin, who Bello portrays in the movie.

She met the woman Davis plays and has spent the last five years trying to find her.

For her part, Davis was thrilled by the scene and says she and Bello spent weeks rehearsing it while “standing, sitting and walking” to see which worked best on screen.

World Trade Center opens Wednesday (Aug. 9) and both McLoughlin and Davis hope it helps them get in contact with the woman who inspired the scene.
