Los Angeles Woman Is ‘Guitartist’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Los Angeles woman is striking a chord with musicians as a professional “guitartist.”

Her name is Pamelina H. and for the past 20 years, she has painted axes for all sorts of rock luminaries, including a Harley Davidson-themed guitar for Travis Tritt and a Stratocaster for John Mayer that features Jimi Hendrix.

Each paint job adds between $2000 and $4000 to the guitar’s cost and Pamelina says the key is determining whether the musician plans to actually play it or display it on a stand.

Her current pride and joy is a guitar featuring famed ’50s pin-up queen Bettie Page that Page actually autographed.

However, she is now setting her sights on a series of guitars featuring the members of her favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Pamelina hopes to paint guitars featuring Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar but admits she’s on the fence about making an axe for Shaquille O’Neal because, she admits, “I feel bad about him leaving. It’s like a bad break-up.”
