Its called The One: Making A Music Star and features 11 wannabe pop and rock stars competing for a recording contract by working with music industry insiders such as Andre Harrell, Mark Hudson and Kara DioGuardi.
Series host George Stroumboulopoulos says its a more realistic depiction of the music business than Idol or Rockstar: Supernova because it shows how producers refine performers to get them ready to be stars.
Contestants will learn how to work a stage and grab disinterested audiences, while Stroumboulopoulos jokes hell personally teach them how to wreck a hotel room, adding: But thats after the show.
