Majority Of Americans With Back Pain Willing To Give Up Sex

PADUCAH, Ky. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of Americans with lower back pain are willing to do anything to get rid of it – even forgo sex.

According to a new study by the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and Smith & Nephew Endoscopy, 56 percent of patients with back pain surveyed would gladly abstain from sex for six months if it brought an end to their spinal suffering.

In fact, 46 percent say they’ve already stopped having sex, anyway.

Another 65 percent say they’d give up dessert for a year in exchange for no back pain.

  • 54 percent would undergo a painful root canal in order to have a pain-free back.

  • 41 percent would give birth.

  • Finally, 37 percent are willing to sky dive from a plane if it means no more back pain.
