Hyperactive Singer Admits Ritalin Abuse; Denies Olsen Twin Connection

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Breaking things up is easy for the singer of Warped Tour darlings Riverboat Gamblers, but he denies breaking the Olsen twins’ hearts.

His name is Mike Wiebe – or as he often refers to himself “Rookie Sensation” Mike Wiebe – and his band has landed a spot on the punk-fueled summer tour based partly on the highly dangerous antics he performs on stage.

Wiebe has racked up thousands of dollars in medical bills, in part, because of his own hyperactivity and Attention Deficit- Hyperactivity Disorder.

In Wiebe’s words, “I was definitely a poster child for the ‘Ritalin Revolution’ as a kid.”

It carries over onstage, but Weibe explains, “It’s not a thought-out gimmick, I just forget what I’m doing in my effort to give a good show and not get bored.”

Fans do worry for his safety, and one ex-girlfriend used to cry at Weibe’s shows because she was so scared for him.

Wiebe does want to deny one rumor, however: He is “NOT, as has been reported, dating either of the Olsen twins” and insists, “We’re just friends, let me make that official.”
