Mac Davis Needs An ‘American Idol’ Tape – Pronto

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you have a tape of last week’s Elvis Presley-themed episode of American Idol, Mac Davis wants to talk to you.

The songwriter had three of his songs featured on the show: “In The Ghetto,” “A Little Less Conversation,” and “If I Can Dream,” but he wasn’t able to see it.

He admits, “I was watching my 15-year-old son in a Moliere French farce and didn’t find out until afterwards. Then I got so many calls from people telling me it was a great show.”

Davis has compliments to spare but he doesn’t have a recording of the show because he forgot to tape it, but is hoping someone will give him a copy.

Still, the American Idol revival of Davis’ ditties couldn’t come at a more appropriate time. On June 15, he’s being inducted in the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
