Paul Simon Tune Tops Mom Musical Charts

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mother’s Day may not have carols like Christmas, but there are a few “mom songs” that are hits with fans.

For instance, a new survey by the Lifetime TV network reveals that “Mother And Child Reunion” by Paul Simon is the favorite piece of motherly music for 31 percent of Americans.

  • 24 percent prefer the Willie Nelson song, “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys.”

  • 10 percent like the ABBA ditty, “Mamma Mia.”

  • Nearly 7 percent dig “Hey Mama” by Kanye West.

  • About 6 percent hum “Mother’s Little Helper” by the Rolling Stones.

  • Finally, 5 percent says the LL Cool J song, “Mama Said Knock You Out” always makes them think about dear old Mom.
