Pat Boone Plans To Singlehandedly Stop Divorce Rate

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Pat Boone was once called the “Great White Hope” for his musical contributions but now he’s on a one-man campaign to lower the divorce rate.

Well, that’s his plan.

Boone has just released his latest album, Hopelessly Romantic, and while it includes a wheezy rendition of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” the CD also contains a tune called “I Love You Truly” that he says has the amazing ability to keep marriages intact.

Back in college, Boone sang the ditty at various weddings and says that the couples he’s crooned for are still together.

He is convinced that if modern couples like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt choose the ballad as their wedding song it just might keep the marriages intact and reduce the number of divorces.

As he explains, “I do think the right song can capture and reinforce a lasting commitment.”

But while Boone is all about long term love, he admits some relationships seem longer than others. That’s why he plans to write a country song called “I Know I Promised You Forever But Isn’t Four Years Enough?”
