According to Malcolm Kushner, a laughing consultant who releases an annual laughing index, Americans are paying the same amount of bucks for the same amount of yucks.
The index measures the annual price change in things like admission to comedy clubs, wholesale rubber chickens and issues of Mad Magazine, and Kushner says the index only showed a one-tenth of one percent rise.
The cost of rubber chickens did not show any increase, which Kushner says is good news for hockey fans because it wont cost them more for the rubber chickens they throw on the ice.
He says the only things that did rise the comic staples: The cost of Mad Magazine and the cost of tickets at comedy clubs.
Kushner says if things continue to stay stable, next year we may see the first deflation trend in whoopie cushions.
