‘Call To Greatness’ A Call To The Emergency Room?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Producers of a new MTV show hope to break records, but the real record may be how many bones will be broken on air.

That’s because the show Call to Greatness takes a team of five guys and gives them bone crunching Jackass- style stunts to perform to see who can set a new world’s record.

Austin Reading, the show’s co-executive producer, says that can include inane stunts like “Most Self-Kicks to the Head” and one called “World’s Fastest Living Room,” where common living room furnishings have become motorized.

There are some tamer stunts that are still not necessarily for the squeamish, like ejecting marshmallows out of the nose of one person into the mouth of a recipient.

Reading admits most stunts have a risk factor, but he’s hoping viewers at home will follow suit – not with the dangerous stunts, but with trying to break records of their own.

In Reading’s words, “We’re furthering the overall I.Q. of America.”

Call to Greatness will debut on April 3.
