Depeche Mode Translated Into Similish

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The makers of the video game The Sims are giving Depeche Mode fans something to talk about, but in a different language.

One of the band’s songs from the album Playing the Angel has been translated into “Similish,” the native language of the virtual reality game created from a mixture of Ukrainian and the language of the Philippines, Tagalog.

Depeche Mode lead singer David Gahan says the reason he re- recorded the song “Suffer Well” into Similish is because it sounded like such a bizarre idea.

In his words, “Of course, that’s why we couldn’t resist doing it.”

The song will appear in the next expansion pack of The Sims 2 Open for Business but will also be available at thesims2.ea.com.
