‘Sqrat’ Creator Fighting 20th Century Fox In Public Arena

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A New York artist who created a cartoon character called the “Sqrat” is now getting all hot and bothered by the makers of the Ice Age films.

Back in 1999, Ivy Supersonic created the “sqrat,” a half-squirrel, half-rat creature that supposedly haunts New York.

However, in 2002, the movie Ice Age was released featuring a half-squirrel, half-rat character called the “scrat” that Supersonic says is a complete rip off of her creation.

Supersonic lost her initial lawsuit, but she’s planning an appeal and is trying to get the word out that she was robbed before Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is released on March 31.

To that end, she is purchasing ads in showbiz trade magazines featuring the tagline, They Stole The Shirt Off My Back....Where Is The Justice? and paying for planes with banners reading Fox Stole Ivy’s Secret to fly over Los Angeles from now until the Oscar ceremonies on Sunday (Mar. 5).

She’s taking the battle so seriously that she has added 12 new protest tattoos including a sqrat tat on her back and the word “Justice” across her chest where, she says, “I can see it.”
