It’s National Pancake Day (Feb. 28)

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Today (Feb. 28) is National Pancake Day, and the International House Of Pancakes is buttering people up with a new survey about the dish.

According to the pancake poll, 53 percent of Americans completely soak their cakes in butter and syrup before taking a bite while eight percent cut them up before adding toppings. Another six percent keep their syrup and toppings in a bowl and dip them before every bite.

Other sweet stats from the survey....

  • 70 percent have eaten pancakes for dinner while 31 percent have made cakes in the shape of a man or an animal.

  • 17 percent have eaten pancakes in bed and 13 percent have eaten them raw.

  • Finally, 25 percent of Americans say they’d most like to eat pancakes with a historical figure like Thomas Jefferson while 19 percent would like to munch them with a current world leader like George W. Bush and 17 percent prefer a Hollywood star like Brad Pitt.
