Something In The Way Of Being A George Harrison Impersonator Moves Him

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – February 25 marks the 63rd anniversary of Beatle George Harrison’s birth, and one person who will be celebrating is guitarist Joe Bithorn.

He’s played Harrison for 25 years, first as a part of Beatlemania and now as a cast member of RAIN – The Beatles Experience, a touring show that recreates the music of the Fab Four.

Bithorn admits there’s something in the way of being Harrison that moves him and says it’s because the so-called “quiet Beatle” wasn’t one to hog the spotlight.

As he puts it, “I see him as a dark shadow who didn’t try to grab the spotlight but tried to induce it towards him musically.”

Bithorn says one thing about being the “quiet one” means he doesn’t have to imitate the “scouse” accent as much as the others.

Bithorn plans to celebrate Harrison’s birthday, but not for the reasons you might think. That’s because February 25 is also his wife’s birthday.
