This year marks the fourth year the holiday has been celebrated, and creator Kristie Tamsevicius says she started it to give stay-at-home moms an excuse to kick up their heels and have an extra moment to themselves.
She says Do Business In Your Bathrobe Day which is sponsored by www.internationalrobes.com allows people who work at home to, as Tamsevicius puts it, say Nyah nyah nyah to the office drones.
Naturally, the day has been embraced by telecommuters and Mr. Moms, but Tamsevicius admits some stick-in-the-mud feminists claim the bathrobe bash sets women back.
But there are some rules to follow: Tamsevicius says you should mentally dress for success and always shower and clean up before stepping out into public.
Also, she warns participants wear jammies that are nice and comfortable but decent just in case the FedEx guy shows up.
