World’s First ‘Hoot-tel’ Opens Doors Feb. 2

CLEARWATER, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’ve heard of a hotel, but starting Feb. 2, Las Vegas will be the home of the world’s first “hoot-tel.”

That’s because the Hooters restaurant chain is opening a casino hotel in Sin City that day and company founder Ed Droste believes it has more than a chicken wing and a prayer of succeeding.

As he puts it, “Our sense is that it’s not a gimmick,” and he thinks the casino will appeal to the same demographic the restaurants cater to.

Naturally, the Hooters Hotel will have lots of Hooters girls but not every employee will be one. Droste says, “We figure the bellmen will be bellmen.”

There will be some Hooters-like touches, such as wood floors instead of marble and Hooters girls dealing blackjack, but as Droste puts it, “We didn’t want to get carried away.”

To that end, Droste promises the bedrooms won’t look like a Hooters restaurant, except for a hightop bar with three bar stools “in case people want to entertain.”
