Old Fogeys Give ‘Capote’ A Golden Chair For Best Picture

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – While movie lovers are waiting to see who’ll win a Golden Globe, a magazine for blue hairs is handing out Golden Chairs.

Editors at AARP The Magazine have picked their choices for their Movies For Grownups Awards, and Capote – the story of Truman Capote’s life – wins their Best Movie award, marked by a golden chaise lounge chair trophy.

Meanwhile, Jeff Daniels wins Best Actor for The Squid and the Whale while Joan Plowright takes home a Best Actress Golden Chair for Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont.

But proving that the over-fifty crowd still loves a good laugh, the magazine gives a Golden Chair to The Producers as 2005’s Best Comedy for Grownups.
