Members Of US Pastry Team Are No Cream Puffs

CANTON, Mass. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The USA World Pastry Cup Team is poised to take in the sweet smell of success, and, of course, pastries, when they compete in the Couple du Monde de la Patisserie in January of 2007.

The team was formed in October at the national competition at L’Academie de Cuisine and consists of three regulars and two alternates.

According to team captain Christopher Boos, the team now has 14 months to design a chocolate dessert, a fruit and ice cream dessert presented on an ice sculpture base and a typical plated dessert that they will recreate during the event.

Boos can’t reveal the team’s designs or flavors, but he says one thing’s for sure: His team will unveil new dessert techniques which they will share with the world.
