There’s No Place Like Ho For The Holidays

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to prostitution, there’s no place like Ho for the holidays.

That’s the word from former pimp Bob Armstrong, who says that Christmas is a surprisingly busy day for the world’s oldest profession.

He says Johns are mostly lonely divorced men, and because most prostitutes don’t want to work on Christmas, they tend to charge their clients double their going rate, plus an additional holiday gift.

The prices might be higher, but so is the quality of service. Armstrong says many prostitutes feel the holiday spirit and give “a deeper part of themselves” than on other days.

By comparison, lots of whores want to hear the question, “What are you doing New Year’s Eve?” and Armstrong says it’s because “it’s a party night and working girls love to party, especially if there are ‘party favors,’ which is a code word for cocaine.”

Still, customer demand isn’t too big on Dec. 31, and Armstrong figures it’s because “most guys don’t want to bring an escort around their friends.”

Armstrong is the author of a new book, Vanilla Slim: An Improbable Pimp In The Empire Of Lust (Carroll & Graf).
