One Hotel Chain Going To The Dogs – For Singing And Surfing Lessons

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There used to be a time when travelers were lucky if they could get their dog into a Motel 6, but now a certain hotel chain is giving pooches access to limos, massages, voice lessons and more.

The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, offers a $1,599 package called “Hound of Music” which includes a platinum suite, pet room service, grooming and massage, and the biggest perk – a limo ride to a recording studio where fido meets with a voice coach to record a CD accompanied by guitar, harmonica or karaoke tunes.

Loews spokesperson Emily Goldfischer admits they don’t have any “hard research” on whether the doggies will remember what they’ve learned after the session, but says, “The idea is that the dog will hear the CD and howl along.”

Another Loews hotel in Coronado, California, is offering surf lessons complete with a surf and turf dinner for the pooch and doggie board shorts, though Goldfischer admits she doesn’t know how they get the shorts on the dogs.
