Moody Blues Still Have Picky Fans

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Maybe there’s a reason the Moody Blues are moody: They have to deal with some picky fans.

That’s the word from band drummer Graeme Edge, who says the group has to be very particular in the recording studio because, as he puts it, “if there’s any discrepancy you hear it from the fans. We get letters from people complaining if there’s a cat meowing in the background.”

Don’t get Edge wrong: He appreciates the fact that his fans are so devoted to the sound quality and enjoys the challenge of living up to their sound expectations.

Luckily, it happens when he least expects it. The Moody Blues just released a concert album, Lovely To See You, Live, and says singer Justin Hayward listened obsessively to tapes to see if there were any mistakes that needed to be fixed.

Since Hayward is a perfectionist, Edge admits he was surprised to get a phone call saying, “You won’t believe this but it’s all spot-on.”
