Former Three Dog Night Singer Boning Up On Songwriting

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – As a member of Three Dog Night, singer Chuck Negron introduced the world to the songs of Elton John, Harry Nilsson, Paul Williams and Laura Nyro.

Now he’s hoping to do the same for his own songs.

Negron says he never worked much on his own songwriting while a member of the popular early 1970s band because, he admits, “It wasn’t the safest place to bare your soul.”

Fifteen years of sobriety can change things and now Negron is spending lots of time writing new tunes.

It might be daunting to try and live up to the other great songwriters but Negron isn’t worried. He says “knowing that the things I like work gives me a confidence that I can do it as well.”

Negron’s latest projects include two new DVDs: a documentary called The Chuck Negron Story, and Chuck Negron: Live And In Concert.
